Abstract:The macromonomer BA-HPEG was prepared by esterifation and modification of hydroxyl-terminated of methyl allyl polyoxyethylene ether(HPEG) by benzoic anhydride(BA). At the mole ratio of n(HPEG)∶n(BA-HPEG)=9∶1,8∶2,7∶3,they were copolymerized with acrylic acid(AA) at room temperature and the alkyd ratio was controlled at 1∶2.5,three novel polycarboxylate superplasticizer BA-PCE were synthesized. The results showed that the hydroxyl end esterification reaction of BA and HPEG was complete, and the weight average molecular weight of the three BA-PCE were all between 36 800 and 37 700. When 3% montmorillonite is added, the initial flowability of the control group and the cement paste mixed with three types of BA-PCEs are 190,260,270,and 275 mm,respectively. After 60 minutes, the control group has no flowability, and the flowability of the cement paste mixed with three types of BA-PCEs is 160,175,and 183 mm,respectively, showing good mud resistant and slump retention behaviors.
